"Assarel-Medet" JSC was the initiator for the creation of the joint company with Bulgarian and foreign participation Dyno NitroMed JSC. In 1997 the Minister of Industry at that time, Alexandar Boshkov, officially inaugurated the first Bulgarian-Norwegian-Swedish company in the country.
Today, it is a high technology joint-venture company between Assarel-Medet JSC which possesses 40% of the capital and the ORICA International Concern. Waterproof blasting substances and Nonel non-electric blasting systems are produced for the country and abroad.

Thracians hotels Ltd. is a company for tourist services and the following recreation facilities serve as a basis fpr its development:

Assarel-Trans Ltd. is a company for transportation services established on the basis of the Avtobasa Workshop as 66% of its shares were sold to the strategic partner Nikan Line.

Assarel-Remont Ltd. is a company established on the basis of the maintenance and repairs workshops as 60% of its shares were bought by the strategic partner IPO Ltd.

Assarel – Food and Catering Complex is a 100% affiliated company established on the basis of the organized canteen cervices for the company’s employees and workers.
