Assarel-Medet JSC is a winner of more than 80 international, national and regional awards and prizes in annual competitions. The bestowed awards and prizes are more than 40 after the privatization. The most significant of them are presented below.
Our company was awarded for environmental protection and occupational health and safety
For a fifth year in a row, Assarel-Medet JSC was awarded by the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology in the categories Occupational Safety and Health for the reported zero trauma rate in 2017 and Care for Nature for observing the environmental protection standards last year. The Head of Mining Engineering department, eng. Ivan Andreev, was awarded for his overall contribution to the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology.
Assarel-Medet JSC was awarded with Green Innovation in the Innovative Company of the Year competition
Assarel-Medet JSC was awarded with Green Innovation in the Innovative Company of the Year competition . The prize was bestowed to the Chairperson of the Management Board and Executive Director eng. Delcho Nikolov by Ognyan Zlatev, leader of the Representation of the European Committee in Bulgaria at an official ceremony at Sofia Hotel Balkan. The winners were greeted by the President of Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and the Vice-president Tomislav Donchev.
Our company won two industrial prices
For a fourth year in a row, Assarel-Medet JSC was awarded with the prizes of the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology the categories Occupational Safety and Health for the reported zero trauma rate in 2016 and Care for Nature for companies with zero breaches of environmental protection standards and respective sanctions last year. The company has been awarded five times with the prize for Corporate Social Responsibility of the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology.
Assarel-Medet JSC was awarded with Social Investment prize
Our company was awarded with Social Investment prize of 24 Chasa news paper during the bestowment of the Investor of the Year 2016 awards. It was distinguished for the implemented social projects amounting to more than 150 million BGN.
Our company with a prize for achieved good results
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry distinguished Assarel-Medet JSC during the twenty-third edition of the Annual Awards for Contribution to the Economy of Republic of Bulgaria. The company was awarded in the Top 10х6 category for achieved best results in the Southern Central region in 2015.
The Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria distinguished our company for its overall contribution to the Bulgarian Economy
Our company was distinguished with the special award of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria for its overall contribution to the national economy. The insignia of honor was bestowed by the Chairperson of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria Kiril Domuschiev to prof. Lachezar Tsotsorkov, PhD, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board and Chairperson of the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology and to the Executive Director of the company, eng. Delcho Nikolov. As a response, prof. Tsotsorkov declared that the award is a result from the efforts of all workers and employees in the companies of the Assarel group highlighting that this is a well deserved acknowledgement also for the entire mineral raw material industry.
Assarel-Medet JSC with a big award at the Investor of the Year competition
Assarel-Medet JSC was honored with a big award from the Investor of the Year competition. The prize is for the construction of the modern medical complex in Panagyurishte through the joint company Assarel Panagyurishte Zdrave JSC established as a public-private partnership with Panagyurishte Municipality and medical specialists from the region.
The Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology awarded our company for its overall contribution to the mineral raw material industry.
In the eve of its 50th anniversary Assarel-Medet JSC was awarded with three prizes by the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology at the national celebration of the Miner’s Day. The prizes are in the Big Enterprises category and for overall contribution to the mineral raw material industry of the country.
Assarel-Medet JSC was bestowed with an award for quality by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria
Our company owon the big award for quality by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria. The prize was bestowed personally by the Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of the company, prof. Lachezar Tsotsorkov, PhD.
The Highest State Award for the Executive Director of Assarel-Medet
On December 21, 2007 the President of the Republic, Mr. Georgi Parvanov bestowed to Dr. eng. Lachezar Tsotsorkov the Stara Planina Order of Merits, first class. The highest state award was given to the Executive Director of Assarel-Medet JSC and chairman of the Bulgarian Chamber of Mining and Geology for his exceptional merits to the Republic of Bulgaria and on occasion of his 60th anniversary.
“Dr. eng. Lachezar Tsotsorkov is descendant of a glorious family from Panagyurishte.
He is a person who has established himself as a reputable patriotic Bulgarian businessman having a strong social involvement not only in the municipality of Panagyurishte but also on a national scale”, the President Parvanov stated during the official ceremony and then he was cited by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency. Decree No. 301 of the President of Republic of Bulgaria was issued on July 19th, 2006.
Investor of the Year 2007 in the Mining Industry
On December 14, 2007 the Bulgarian Investment Agency proclaimed Assarel-Medet JSC for Investor of the year 2007 in the Mining Industry Category. The statuette was bestowed to the Executive Director Dr. eng. Lachezar Tsotsorkov by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy, Mr. Lachezar Borissov.
Reward for Energy Efficiency Project
On December 12, 2007 during the ceremony of the Annual Awards for Energy SMV – Bulgaria Ltd. awarded Assarel-Medet JSC for the trust rendered and the project implementation on a site with the greatest intricacy of performance and saving of power. The project is for infrared gas ceramic heating in the Central Repairs Workshop in 2004 – 2006 as the investment return took one heating season. The bestowed award was in the form of a scholarship for a promising student, pointed out by Assarel-Medet.
Golden Rithon
On November 30th, 2007 the Alliance of Entrepreneurs, Panagyurishte awarded Assarel-Medet JSC with the statuette Golden Rithon for Best Entrepreneur ‘2006 in the Production Sector.
Investor In Environment
On November 29, 2007 the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum ranked Assarel-Medet JSC at the third place in the Investor in Environment 2007 category within the annual awards for open business. The acknowledgement was received for the implementation of the Environmental Program in 2007.
Labor Safety
On October 26, 2007 Assarel-Medet was awarded with a Silver order of merits Perfect Company in the Area of Occupational Safety and Health, awarded within the Annual Competition of Perfect Consult, Ltd.
Best Employers
On November 17, 2007 the ranking from the Best Employers 2007 national poll conducted by Hewitt was announced which is carried out for the second consecutive year in our country jointly with the Capital newspaper.
A big industrial company finds place in the Large Companies category for the first time since Assarel-Medet is ranked at the third place. This is an acknowledgement for the human resources policy conducted for many years. More than 600 workers, experts and managers from Assarel-Medet took part in Hewitt’s poll which tested the team’s commitment and motivation.
Most Dynamic Bulgarian Company For 2006
The Business Week Bulgaria Magazine proclaimed Assarel-Medet as the most dynamically developing Bulgarian company for 2006 in their issue dated August 13, 2007 in their ranking of the business development in the country. Leader’s positions, innovation, investment in the operations modernization, new environmental projects and personnel development were highlighted.
Top Insurer in the Mining Industry For 2006
In May 2007 Assarel-Medet was ranked at the first place as the biggest insurer in the mining industry in the Internet web page www.nasvetlo.net dedicated to the struggle capmapign against grey economy. Official data provided by the National Incomes Agency for 2006 was used by the initiators of the campaign from the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce. Assarel-Medet among the partners in the national campaign against grey economy and it supports the united efforts of the socially responsible Bulgarian business and the mass media under the motto: “Come out of the shade – think about tomorrow”.
